About Us We have been in a committed relationship for their teen years and have no doubt that we will be together for the rest of our lives. We met in 1991 and after living in Connecticut and Florida, we moved to Chico, California, in 2001. We share our home with our dog Mazal and our cat Ramses. They enjoy the large back yard and fresh air, and are close to hiking trails, lakes, and mountains all located here in the North Valley. As you might suspect they're both spoiled! Our ability to communicate and to respect each others opinion has been a major factor in the success of our relationship. Although we do most things together, we respect each others differences and personal space. We both come from very different backgrounds, which helped shape our views as the pertain to culture, diversity, and challenge. Pedro is from Plainfield, New Jersey and Vladimir is from Dorohi, Romania. While some people may see our relationship as being different, we simply do not. We see ourselves as a loving, committed couple who are ready to bring a child into our family. We have a very comfortable home, a great relationship, and interesting careers. Pedro is a Director of Student Health Services at the local college, while Vladimir is a freelance artist, with a full production studio that allows him to work at home. Our house is situated within walking distance of the leading elementary school in the city and just two blocks from one of the many parks in Chico. Our families are the center of our lives, but we each have individual interests as well. While Pedro enjoys cooking, travel, athletic events, and meeting people, he also has a passion for music he whishes to share. Pedro directs the A Cap pel la choir at his church, which performs at churches and community events. Vlad also has a great appreciation for music and traveling, as well as rock climbing, and fitness. His gift is in his art. Whether it is spinning on his pottery wheel, painting, or hand building with clay, Vlad can't wait to share this appreciation with our child. Vlad is also fluent in several languages (Romanian, English, Hebrew, and French). We consider our talents gifts that were fostered by our families and we look forward to sharing them with a child of our own. | back to top |
