Why Optimize?
An easy to navigate and beautiful site may be what keeps your visitors on your site, but it really doesn't matter if they can't find you. They go to their favorite search engine, which is more than likely Google, type in "birthmother seeking prospective adoptive families" and you don't show up anywhere. This is why between the two, beauty or find ability, being found is more important. Your visitors simply have to find you first before they can learn about you.

Importance of Design
Like I said in the previous paragraph, a good design will keep your visitor on your site. A well designed site that catches the emotion and personality of who you are and what you are trying to convey just makes sense. It is congruent to your message. A well designed web site will accomplish this.

Web Site Redesign - 2003 - Web Re-Design Team 2007
I redesigned the IAC's web site and logo while working in their Creative Services Division serving as their Web Site Manager and Graphic Designer. With my colleague Jenny Davis, Assistant Marketing Director, we optimized the source code for the preferred open adoption search terms and expanded our library of newly developed url's and redirects. With these changes we increased the IAC's reciprocal links by 300 new incoming links to the site. In 2007 I was proud to be a working team member on the IAC's website re-design.
